About Pranav

My name is Pranav Thoutam, completed my PhD in Chemical Engineering from Teesside University. Since my Bachelors in the same field, I have been a part of over seven research projects. Evidently, I have a knack understanding and analyzing science beyond the textbook for the purpose of practical applications. This helped me and my students not only in improving interest in the subject but also understanding the dynamics of the subject to evolve with it. In my opinion, the induction into subject would be the most important stage of learning, which needs to be firm so that the student could be able to visualize its topics and their association with it. Hence, I always focus on visual stimulus through a proper presentation along with the provision of the most relatable examples to ease up the digestion process. My interest and the success in teaching paved me to take-up teaching roles in the university under the supervision of university authorities. Here, my teaching methods were verified and authenticated by AdvancedHE.

About the lesson

I have experience in one to one private tutoring as well as teaching to a class of over 100 strength. My teaching methods have been evaluated and certified by the AdvancedHE with AFHEA certification. My approach would be mainly person centered, tailored to meet the personnel specifications by considering ones attention spans and individual preferences. The teaching methodology generally involves visual representation of process mechanisms through a proper presentation of the subject and familiarizing the topic by providing the most relatable examples. I am able to teach Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry for the students at levels GCSE and A levels; and Heat transfer, Mass Transfer and Thermodynamics for the Engineering students. The classes typically last for 40 minutes to one hour depending on the requirement, type of the subject and the student preferences.
