About Kumar

I'm an experienced researcher and university instructor with a focus on artificial intelligence. I’ve taught advanced courses and mentored students from a wide range of backgrounds — from high schoolers learning to program, undergraduates exploring AI for the first time, to graduate students working on cutting-edge projects. About the lesson

As a tutor, my goal is to create an encouraging and engaging learning space where students can build deep understanding and confidence, especially in complex topics involving math and programming. I combine academic rigor with clear, intuitive explanations to meet students where they are and help them grow steadily.

I focus on breaking down abstract ideas into relatable, concrete concepts. I use a mix of guided discussion, live problem-solving, visual explanations, and real-world examples. I prioritize clarity and encourage questions throughout, creating space for active, reflective learning.

A session often begins with a warm-up question or recap, followed by a deep dive into the day’s topic through a combination of conceptual discussion and applied examples (often including code or small tasks). We wrap up with reflection or review—this might be open Q&A, a brief quiz, or a hands-on task to reinforce understanding.

As an AI researcher with years of university-level teaching and mentoring, I’m especially good at helping students who feel unsure about technical subjects, making the material approachable without oversimplifying. I also enjoy bringing ethical dimensions into technical discussions when appropriate.
