About Judith
I’m Jude, a recent PhD graduate in engineering with a long-standing interest in maths and physics. I enjoy breaking difficult ideas into something clear and manageable, and I get genuine satisfaction from seeing students grow in confidence. Teaching appeals to me because it’s a chance to share the problem-solving skills I’ve developed through years of study and to help students realise that these subjects aren’t as intimidating as they first appear. I want to teach because I value that moment when something “clicks” for a student, and I enjoy supporting them as they reach their own goals.

I’ve recently completed my PhD at Queen’s University Belfast, where I also achieved a First Class Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering. My background is strongly rooted in maths and physics, but I’m happy to support students in other areas where I can add value. I like to teach through past papers and problem-solving, as I find it’s the quickest way to build confidence and real understanding. I encourage pupils to tell me exactly what they’re finding difficult so we can tackle those topics directly and make steady, clear progress.
