About Dr Juli

Hello! I'm Dr. Juli and I have been an educator for over 25 years.

With English as my first language, I did not start studying foreign languages (French then Spanish) until I was a young adult, so I understand that many people struggle learning a new language in a non-immersion setting.

With a Bachelor's degree in French with a Spanish minor, and a Master's in Education in Teaching English as a Second Language, I have enjoyed instructing students from all over the word and helping them to achieve academic, professional, and personal goals in language growth. My PhD is in Workforce and Adult Education, so looking ahead to how students may use language in their futures and careers is my perspective. Sometimes just passing a current middle, high school, or college class is your most immediate goal, and I understand that! I also know that while many love language courses, others are not thrilled to be enrolled in those classes. I can work with that as long as someone has a desire to improve, and will accept help.

I'm located in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and I can meet in person in this region or work with you virtually.

About the lesson

Are you taking an academic French course, in middle or high school or college? Is it grammar-heavy? Let's reduce the fear and intimidation of learning French. Many students struggle with mechanics and beginning to start to speak French as well.

I have taught French 11 years in a university and in a high school as well--I have certification in French from the State of Oklahoma. I'm also certified in English as a Second Language, so that perspective helps me to teach non-native English speakers in any subject. Located in Green Bay, Wisconsin now, I can teach near here in person, or anywhere else remotely! Let's chat about how I may help you overcome hurdles in your acquisition of French.
