About Steven
I have a first class degree in Chemical Physics from the University of Kent and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge.
I grew up on the Isle of Wight and returned after my time in university and have worked here has a Materials Scientist for many years.
I trained as a science teacher a couple of years ago but decided (after qualifying) that teaching in a school is simply too hard!
I enjoy teaching and would love to use my experience and skills to help students by tutoring.

I am new to tutoring with Superprof, but not new to teaching.
I tutored undergraduate students during my PhD.
I tutored colleagues and customers during my career in industry.
As a trainee science teacher I learned how difficult it is to teach a classroom of 30 students!
My plan is to offer a free consultation lesson for each student, and use this time to build an understanding of how best I can help the student achieve their objectives. Then I will plan some tutor sessions accordingly and we'll see how it goes...
