About Lennart
Dr. Lennart: Scientist, Strategist, and Lifelong Learner
I’ve spent the last decade navigating the intersection of deep-tech science and global business strategy. My journey has taken me from a PhD at UC Berkeley/Ghent University to boardrooms as a McKinsey consultant, and the fast-paced world of climate-tech startups.

Deep technical roots: I hold a PhD in Chemical Engineering and have taught ChemE classes as a PhD student. I also worked in corporate R&D environments.

My approach: Tackling the "so what!?, making it more fun and communicating it like a TEDx speaker.
My teaching methodology:
If you are looking for a tutor, you might be feeling disheartened with your progress or frustrated with how a subject is being taught - and I completely get that. My goal is to make you enjoy the process first (and believe me, math and sciences CAN be SO FUN!), the grades naturally follow when you aren't fighting the material.
* The "so what": I don't care about a math problem in isolation, care about what you can actually do with it in the real world.
* Stuck on a problem? We will walk through it together step-by-step until the logic clicks.
* Meta-learning: I can teach you how to learn, helping you develop study habits and mental frameworks that work for your specific brain, not just the "standard" way.
* Effective communication: I've been a TEDx speaker twice, I help you learn how to communicate your technical knowledge clearly and confidently.
A typical lesson:
Every session is tailored to your immediate needs. Whether you are stuck on a specific homework set, preparing for a final exam, or trying to understand how your degree applies to a future career, we start where you are. We’ll solve the immediate blockers and then zoom out to the "so-what" so you understand the context.

I’ve worked in high-stakes environments as a PhD student at UC Berkeley to being an Engagement Manager at McKinsey. I bring that "real-world" perspective to every lesson.
