About Anthony G
I am a student and tutor dedicated to higher learning and the academic success of my students. My passion for learning in the areas of the humanities such as philosophy, theology, history, and literature has motivated me to pursue graduate work at the university. I have had students reach out after classes have ended (and grades submitted!) expressing their desire to pursue higher learning in part because of the time spent and work done together. I am comfortable delivering sessions remotely or in person.

My teaching methodology is to help students think critically and engage the text they are reading and reflecting on. A key part of writing is the engagement or interrogation of the text or topic and learning how to prepare for a creative approach. Elements of grammar and style are covered which facilitate the process of reading and writing. With many years of experience as a private tutor and TA at the university, and a graduate student working on a doctoral dissertation myself, I am constantly engaging with texts, refining my writing, and providing constructive feedback to university students. My tutoring sessions can be adapted to students from grade 11 and 12 through to undergraduate students.
