About Alan
Teaching has been a constant part of my academic path — from high school maths to graduate-level courses. I’ve taught microeconomics and macroeconomics at the undergraduate level at UCL, and more advanced topics such as real analysis and optimisation theory for graduate students. I’m a first-generation PhD student at UCL Economics, researching in development and public economics. I really enjoy working closely with students on their projects and seeing their progress over time. I’m also happy to chat about final projects, career directions, or how to build a strong CV — anything that helps you move forward confidently.

I offer a free 30-minute first session so we can get to know each other and discuss your goals. Together, we’ll make a plan that fits your needs — whether you prefer regular lessons or occasional support. I usually teach microeconomics, econometrics, statistics, and maths at various university levels, and I really enjoy helping students build confidence in these subjects.
