About Bhagya
Hi, I'm Bhagya. I hold a BSc in Mathematics and I am currently a PhD candidate, with five years of tutoring experience supporting students through their studies. Over this time, I have helped students build genuine confidence in Maths, Science and ICT, guiding them from uncertainty to a clear, working understanding of the material.
I take a patient, structured approach to every lesson, adapting to how each student learns best rather than following a rigid script. My academic background means I don't just know the syllabus, I understand the underlying concepts deeply enough to explain them in multiple ways until they click. Whether a student is aiming to catch up, stay on track, or reach for the top grades, I am committed to helping them get there with clarity and confidence.

My name is Bhagya. I hold a BSc in Maths and I'm currently a PhD candidate, which means I bring both a strong foundational grounding in mathematics and advanced research-level thinking to how I teach.
Methodology: I start by identifying gaps in understanding rather than just covering the syllabus, diagnosing where a student gets stuck (a concept, a type of question, exam technique) and building from there. I use worked examples, past paper questions, and real-world applications to make abstract topics in Maths and Science click, rather than relying on rote memorisation. For ICT, I focus on practical, hands-on tasks alongside the underlying theory. Lessons are interactive rather than lecture-style. I want students asking questions and problem-solving with me, not just listening.
Lesson length: Sessions typically run 60 minutes, with 90-minute sessions available for exam-intensive periods or denser topics.
Experience: I have 5 years of tutoring experience, alongside a BSc in Maths and ongoing PhD research. This combination gives me both a proven, practical teaching track record and deep subject mastery, I know what actually works with students, not just what should work in theory.
