About Ben
I hold a Masters in Chemistry from St. Chad's college at Durham University, and am currently undertaking a doctorate in Computational Chemistry at Newcastle University.
I have been tutoring for 5+ years, and have an ethos of letting tutees dictate the style and emphasis of my sessions. I can give gory details beyond the syllabus for anyone who feels like some details/concepts come out of nowhere and are told by the teacher "not to worry about it" (that was me in school); or I can distil the essential information in an easy to understand package for those that are just scraping by. My ethos when it comes to tutoring is that nothing should have to be rote learned. Everything has an intuitive explanation and it just needs to be found.

Ben is a clear and concise tutor who helped me understand any and all concepts I had a problem with, by going back to the fundamentals and building up from there in an intuitive way. The topics I found the hardest became free marks, and with his help I achieved my A*.
