About Garry
I have been a high school science teacher for 9 years. I have experienced teaching biology, chemistry, physics and earth science. I have advanced my expertise in teaching and learning science by pursuing further studies. I have a master's degree in Chemistry Education and currently completing my PhD in Science and Technology Education major in Chemistry. As a school science teacher, I have also been involved in conducting science researches.

As a teacher, I believe that teaching science should take into account students' background knowledge and experiences. Doing this, will make learning science relevant to students. I also advocate the use of practical work, sketching/drawing and feedback in teaching and learning science. My PhD research centers on these valuable teaching-learning tools.
