About Emily
Hi, I’m Emily! I’m currently completing a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honors) at the University of Queensland and graduated from Aquinas College with a 95+ ATAR. I have a strong academic background in Modern History and extensive experience with senior secondary assessment and exam preparation.
Modern History requires more than memorizing content — it’s about understanding historical perspectives, evaluating sources, and constructing clear, well-supported arguments. I enjoy helping students develop these skills in a structured and supportive way, so they feel confident approaching both internal assessments and exams.
My tutoring style is patient, organized, and tailored to each student’s learning needs. I aim to help students not only improve their results, but also gain confidence in their ability to analyze, write, and think critically.

My lessons focus on building strong historical understanding and exam-ready skills. I help students break down complex topics, understand historical contexts, and respond effectively to assessment criteria.

Lesson structure:
Lessons are usually 60 minutes, with the option of 45 or 90 minute sessions. Each lesson includes content clarification, skill development, and guided practice, with feedback tailored to the student’s assessment requirements.
