  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

Music has been a core part of my life for as long as I can remember. I began my journey as a learner, gradually moving into performance, composition, and structured training in keyboard, piano, and contemporary music. Over time, I became deeply interested not just in playing music, but in understanding how music works—harmony, rhythm, aural skills, and musical expression.
This curiosity naturally evolved into teaching, where I could break down complex musical concepts into simple, practical, and enjoyable learning experiences for students.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

My biggest motivation comes from seeing transformation in students—when confusion turns into clarity and hesitation turns into confidence. Many learners believe music is a “talent” you’re born with; teaching has allowed me to prove that music is a skill that can be learned systematically.
Helping students overcome fear, build discipline, and express themselves creatively is what drives me to teach every day.
  • How does your work help society?

Music education develops far more than musical ability. It improves focus, listening skills, emotional intelligence, creativity, and confidence. Through my teaching, students learn patience, consistency, and self-expression—skills that translate into every area of life.
By training musicians who understand music deeply rather than mechanically, I contribute to creating more thoughtful performers, worship leaders, and creative individuals who positively influence their communities.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

I draw inspiration from educators who combine strong fundamentals with real-world application—teachers who don’t just teach notes, but help students think musically. Rather than following one single role model, my approach is shaped by years of learning from performers, mentors, and educators who emphasize clarity, discipline, and musical sensitivity.
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

Outside teaching, I enjoy composing, arranging music, exploring sound design, and working on creative projects related to music education. I also enjoy refining curriculum structures, building learning systems, and constantly updating my teaching methods to suit modern learners.
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

One memorable experience was with a student who believed they were “not musical” and struggled even with basic rhythm. By slowing down the process and focusing on aural training and structured practice, the student gradually gained confidence. A few months later, they were able to play confidently and even guide others.
Moments like these remind me that the right guidance can completely change how a student sees themselves.
