About Nemiah

I’m a serious and reliable tutor who is committed to helping students improve and succeed. I have a strong academic background in math and science and will be attending Northeastern University, which reflects my dedication to academics and long-term goals in a science-related field.

Along with my academic background, I have real experience working with students through leadership, mentoring, and academic support roles. These experiences have helped me develop the patience and communication skills needed to explain difficult concepts clearly.

I come prepared to every session and make sure our time is focused and productive. I tailor each lesson to the student’s needs, whether that means reviewing class material, preparing for exams, or strengthening foundational skills. I pay attention to where students are struggling and work step by step until they feel confident.

I take professionalism seriously—this means being organized, consistent, and respectful of your time and goals. Students can expect a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. My goal is not just to help improve grades, but to build real understanding and long-term confidence in math and science.

About the lesson

I focus on making sure you actually understand what you’re learning, not just memorizing steps. I break things down in a simple way and adjust how I explain depending on what works best for you. If something doesn’t click, I’ll explain it differently until it does. I also help you recognize patterns and think through problems on your own so you’re not stuck relying on someone else.

A typical lesson starts with going over what you’re learning in class or what you’re struggling with. I’ll explain the concept, then we’ll work through a few problems together step by step. After that, you’ll try some on your own while I guide you if needed. I can also help with homework, test prep, or focusing on specific weak areas.

What sets me apart is that I’m patient, easy to talk to, and I don’t make you feel bad for not understanding something. I’ve been in your position, so I know how frustrating it can be when things don’t make sense. My goal is to help you build confidence and actually feel comfortable with math and science.

My lessons are for middle school and high school students who need help with math or science, whether you’re trying to catch up, stay on track, or improve your grades. I can also help if you feel like your foundation isn’t strong and need to rebuild from the basics.
