About Elizabeth
After teaching at the high school and college levels and a brief time in astrophysics research, I found that one-on-one instruction was the thing I enjoyed the most. I love physics and math, and enjoy thinking about the learning experience. I have a BS in physics from Bucknell University and an MS in physics from the University of Pittsburgh.

Every student needs something different, so every lesson is tailored to each student's needs. I know that every student can succeed. I emphasize understanding and practice over memorization. For some students, a one hour lesson will consist of a twenty minute interactive presentation of concepts, followed by student-led discussions and solutions of problems I give. For other students, our time will be taken up by questions the student has prepared ahead of time. Most of my students are high school and college students, but I also teach students at other levels regularly (middle school, graduate student, independent learners).
