About Janice

Hi! My name is Janice ^^ I'm currently a full-time student at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), China, and I'm based in Kuala Lumpur during every semester break.

I offer personalized Mandarin tutoring and study guidance, mainly for beginners, preschoolers, and primary school students.

I have 12 years of experience learning Mandarin and am also fluent in Chinese dialects such as Cantonese and Hokkien. If students are interested in learning a few dialects, I’m happy to include them as a fun and engaging part of our Mandarin lessons.

As an international student in China, I regularly interact with both local Chinese students and international students. This has given me a deeper understanding of the common challenges non-native speakers face when learning Mandarin.

Whether you're an international student, a local Malaysian student, or simply someone looking to improve your Mandarin, you're always welcome to join my class! I offer 1-on-1 lessons available online or offline in Kuala Lumpur during semester breaks.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed as an all-in-one Mandarin learning experience, covering every essential language skill including speaking, listening, reading, writing, pinyin, daily conversations and practical communication.

Rather than focusing only on memorizing vocabulary or completing worksheets, my goal is to create a natural Mandarin-speaking environment for children after school or during their free time. My lessons encourage students to ask questions, express their ideas, and use their imagination as I believe that children learn best when they are curious, engaged, and having fun.

Every child learns at a different pace, so each lesson is tailored to the student's age, personality, and learning style.

My goal is not just to help students score well in school, but to help them see a bigger world through a new language.
