About Joanne

Hi! I’m Joanne, a dedicated Math tutor with a proven track record of academic excellence, having achieved an A* (92%) in IGCSE Mathematics. I understand how challenging Math can feel at times, and I’m here to help students overcome that stress by building both understanding and confidence. My approach is structured yet flexible; I tailor each lesson to suit the student’s learning style and pace. Whether you’re aiming to strengthen your fundamentals, prepare for SPM or IGCSE exams, or push for top grades, I’ll create a personalized plan to help you achieve your goals. I use a mix of clear explanations, practice-based learning, past paper drills, and tips on exam technique, ensuring students don’t just memorize but truly understand the concepts. I conduct online classes for convenience and flexibility, typically 1 to 1.5 hours per session, and I always make time for students’ questions, no matter how small. I’ve helped peers and younger students improve their results, and I bring patience, positivity, and professionalism to every session. About the lesson

I focus on making Maths easy to understand and less intimidating by breaking down complex concepts into simple, step-by-step explanations. I use plenty of real-life examples, past paper questions, and interactive exercises to help students not just memorise formulas, but truly understand how and why they work.

Each lesson is typically 1 to 1.5 hours, allowing enough time to cover concepts, practise problems and clarify doubts without feeling rushed.

I achieved an A* (92%) in IGCSE Mathematics and have experience helping peers and younger students build confidence and improve their results, especially in SPM and IGCSE-level Maths.

My lessons are designed for secondary school students (Form 1–5, Year 7–11) who want to strengthen their basics, prepare for exams, or push for top grades. Whether you’re struggling with certain topics or aiming to score an A*, I’ll adapt each session to your needs and pace.
