About Jack
I’m Jack, a 2nd year physics student at the University of Durham. During my A-level studies I developed a set of study methods that helped me to understand and appreciate maths and physics, and to achieve good grades in these subjects, facilitating my further study of them at university. I tutor because I want to share my study methods, which I believe are effective, and let students gain a greater appreciation of the material, I enjoy these subjects, and I believe with the right tutoring everyone can learn to enjoy them.

Sessions are typically 1-2 hours long, but can be longer or shorter depending on your preference. The main focus is on solving problems, along with marking the answers in order to better understand the mark scheme, as I believe it’s the best way to build and consolidate knowledge. There is also focus on explicitly teaching concepts. Personally I achieved A*A*A* in physics, maths, and chemistry, and so I believe these methods, with a focus on problem solving, are effective. Again, these sessions are on physics and mathematics at A-level. I can tutor any exam board, and any concept within these subjects.
