About Savie

I’ve always enjoyed helping others understand things in a way that feels simple and approachable. During school, teachers often encouraged me to explain concepts to classmates, which helped me realise how much I enjoy supporting others in their learning. I focus on creating a comfortable, encouraging environment with clear explanations and relatable examples, so students can build confidence and improve at their own pace.

About the lesson

I believe every student learns differently, so I like to take the time to understand what works best for them and adapt lessons to their pace and goals. My aim is to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence over time.

I focus on explaining things in a simple, clear way and breaking larger concepts into smaller, manageable steps. I also enjoy using relatable, real-life examples to keep lessons engaging and easier to understand.

I see mistakes as an important part of learning, so I always try to give encouraging feedback that helps students improve without feeling overwhelmed. For me, tutoring is about helping students feel more confident in their abilities and making steady progress in a way that feels enjoyable and achievable.

- Typical lessons are 1 hour long
- Experience tutoring NCEA Levels 1–3 students, as well as adults learning English
- Online lessons preferred, with in-person lessons available on request
