Almost all teachers threaten the students that they'll get an incomplete, flunk out and have to repeat the grade or course. I failed 8th grade English I asked if I could do summer school they said no I had to repeat the entire 8th grade. And don't they always drop it on us the last day of school as we're leaving, “oh Martin wait a minute I need to tell you something,, you flunked English” so wasn't I the odd kid out, a year older than the other 8th graders and stood taller than them. As that assistant principal was actually happy and enthusiastic of giving me the news, it ruined my summer vacation, how was I going to tell my parents that I had to repeat 8th grade. I think it was way back then is why I really don't care for people these days.
