About John

I am a passionate ESL tutor with 9 years of experience teaching High School and College students. Throughout my career, I have worked with around 150–200 students, supporting them in improving their English skills and academic results.

Teaching is my passion because I believe education creates opportunities. I focus on building strong fundamentals in grammar and vocabulary while also improving speaking, reading, and writing skills.

One of the biggest milestones in my career has been watching students grow from hesitant learners to confident English communicators. Many have improved their grades and become more active in presentations and discussions.

My teaching approach is simple, structured, and student-focused. I provide clear explanations, practical exercises, and continuous encouragement. I adjust lessons according to each student’s needs to ensure steady progress.

My goal is to inspire students to enjoy learning English and to help them build confidence that lasts beyond the classroom.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology for ESL is based on real-life communication. I believe students learn English faster when they connect it to daily situations. I use real-life examples, role plays, and case studies such as job interviews, travel conversations, workplace communication, and academic discussions. This helps students understand how English is used in the real world.

I motivate my students by setting clear and achievable goals. I celebrate small improvements so they feel confident and encouraged. I understand that learning a new language can be challenging, so I create a supportive and positive environment where students feel safe to make mistakes and learn from them.

Problem-solving is an important part of my teaching. If a student struggles with grammar, pronunciation, or vocabulary, I identify the difficulty and provide simple strategies to overcome it. I also give practical exercises that improve speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills step by step.

Integrity is very important to me. I provide honest feedback and track progress regularly. I ensure that students truly understand concepts rather than just memorising them.

I am flexible in my teaching. I adjust lessons based on the student’s level, goals, and learning style. Besides ESL, I can also teach related subjects such as business communication, basic grammar, pronunciation training, conversational English, interview preparation, and academic writing.
