About Jared

Hello!

My name is Jared Smith, and I am a qualified teacher with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). I love helping learners grow in confidence and reach their goals.

I have experience teaching learners with different abilities and learning needs. I know that every learner is different, so I take the time to understand how each student learns best and adapt my lessons to suit them.

My goal is to make learning enjoyable and help learners truly understand their work, not just memorize answers. I am patient, supportive, and always encourage learners to ask questions. I believe that when learners feel comfortable and confident, they learn their best.

Whether you need help catching up, preparing for a test, or improving your marks, I will work with you every step of the way. I am committed to helping every learner reach their full potential, and I look forward to being part of your learning journey.

About the lesson

I offer private tutoring for Grade 4 to Grade 7 learners following the South African CAPS Curriculum. My lessons are learner centred, which means I teach in a way that suits each learner's needs and learning style.

I am a patient and dedicated teacher who enjoys helping learners grow in confidence and improve their understanding. I don't just help learners get the right answer, I make sure they understand why the answer is correct so they can apply what they have learned on their own.

I teach in English and aim to create a friendly, supportive environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

A typical lesson starts with a quick review of previous work, followed by a clear explanation of the new topic. We then work through examples together before the learner completes practice questions with my support.

My lessons are for Grade 4 to Grade 7 learners who need extra help, want to improve their marks, prepare for tests and exams, or build confidence in their learning. My goal is to help every learner understand their work and reach their full potential.
