About Marisa
I have a Degree in Consumer Sciences but have been tutoring Maths since I was at school, helping my friends. Since then, I have over 10 years of Maths tutoring experience, both one-on-one and in groups. Students I work with typically see 10-20% improvement in their marks over the course of a year.

I use a method called PPP - Present, Practice, Produce. I show the student how to do the math problem, and explain step by step. Then we do another example, where the student starts to help out as we work through the problem. Then the student does it on their own with my help, and after that they are able to do it on their own (which I evaluate) and with this type of repetition, it usually stays in the memory.
