About Nicholas
My passion lies in analytical fields particularly mathematics and physics, I love to expose my students to these fields and help them develop a in depth understanding rather than focusing on memorisation.
I have been a private tutor since 2022 for over a dozen students focusing primarily on mathematics, advanced programme mathematics and physical science. Nearly all of my students have seen dramatic improvements in their marks (10-30%) within the first few months of tutoring. I have also been a tutor and lab demonstrator at both WITS and UCT and I have been involved in numerous community outreach programs focusing on underprivileged students
A brief overview of my academic career: I matriculated in 2021 from Crawford College Sandton - achieving 6 distinctions and a honour's white blazer. Thereafter I completed my BSc in Physics & Astrophysics in 2024 at WITS and my BSc Hons in 2025 at UCT. I am currently pursuing an MSc at WITS in collaboration with Imperial College of London and University of Geneva focusing on machine learning and statistics applied to Astrophysics (SKA).

I am a extremely calm and understanding person who is willing to explain a concept as many times as necessary. My teaching style focuses primarily on teaching a concept followed by application and correction if need be and custom homework to reinforce the content - which I often make myself based on the student's strengths and weaknesses. I have taught students of all levels and can adapt my structure and speed as needed.
My MSc is entirely by research providing a large degree of flexibility in my schedule and my students are able to contact me at anytime through WhatsApp and in general I will respond within under 30 minutes.
