About Azalea
I am a high-achieving mentor and recent graduate who knows exactly how to navigate today's exams, having consistently maintained "A" grades and earned the "Best Subject" award in Mathematics. My journey started as a peer mentor in secondary school, where I realized I had a knack for turning confusing topics into simple, logical steps for my friends. I chose to teach because I am inspired to help students get past the same academic hurdles I once faced; I love seeing that moment of relief when a tough concept in Mathematics finally makes sense. Because I recently sat for the exams myself, I am intimately familiar with the current syllabus and want to share the specific shortcuts and confidence you need to turn your subjects into your greatest strengths!

My teaching methodology is built on the principle of "Understanding over Memorization. I do prefer 1-to-1 session as I use a "First-Principles" approach. I break down complex concepts into simple, logical steps before moving on to application. For Mathematics, I focus on building a strong foundation of understanding so that students can confidently tackle past-year questions without feeling stuck.
I usually conduct lessons in 1.5 to 2-hour blocks. I find this to be the "sweet spot" that allows enough time to explain a new concept and practice several exam-style problems without causing mental fatigue.
While I am a fresh tutor, I have been mentoring my peers throughout secondary school, helping friends turn their difficult subjects into strengths. My academic track record is excellent; I have consistently remained an A-student and was the recipient of the Best Subject Award in Prinsip Perakaunan. This means I don't just know the subject—I know how to score in it.
My lessons are specifically designed for Secondary School students (Form 1 to Form 5). Because I recently sat for these exams myself, I am very familiar with the current syllabus and the common struggles students face today.
