About Nick

I am dedicated to helping my students achieve their individual goals and meet their unique needs. I am flexible and available and willing to provide on going support as you apply what you learn and have already learned to real world scenarios. Whether you are a student, professional or someone simply looking to sharpen your skills in English I would be thrilled and honoured to work with you. You will find me to be friendly, empathetic, patient and of course, well spoken. I am a Canadian who has worked as a sales manager in high end retail with international clients from all over the place. As a song writer I am in close contact with music producers and artists all over the globe on a daily basis. Most of my collaborators speak English as a second or third language and many look to me for help to improve their understanding of the language overall as well as to edit their lyrics or posts for social media. I play piano, some guitar and played the drums professionally earlier in life. I now write and record songs and lend my lyrics and vocals to tracks created by this international network of mine that has been growing steadily for years now. I am valued for my world class ability to take a lyrical concept or existing lyrics and create a polished song ready for North American radio. Doing so takes not only mastery of the English language but being immersed in the culture as well. I look forward to helping you in anyway I can and being an ally and asset to you as you take on your next challenge in life.

About the lesson

I am someone who learns by doing rather than watching or theorizing. I would love to tailor lessons to your specific needs and, if possible, build lessons that you will get the most out of by using examples from your actual life. For example if you are a song writer like me then let’s go through your songs and check their language and improve what can be improved upon. In this way, the things we work on are most likely to be the same things that come up again in whatever it is you are working on in your life.
I do not have an outlined curriculum that I run each student through over a set amount of weeks like you would get in school. Mine is not a set program but instead I am offering to be your tutor and a friend you can trust to help bolster your understanding and confidence in English and in any other area I can. I have a high level of respect for the work ethic and ambition that you surely have if you are even reading this ad and I am confident you will enjoy time spent with me if we connect and find we are probably a good fit.
