I take a supportive, student-centred approach to private tutoring, focusing on building confidence while developing strong language skills. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and structured, allowing students to learn at their own pace in a calm and positive environment. I believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable, understood, and motivated.
I am proficient in English and Afrikaans and can teach and explain concepts clearly in both languages, which is especially helpful for learners who are building confidence in English as an additional language.
Each lesson is carefully planned and tailored to the student’s individual needs and goals. A typical lesson includes guided conversation practice, vocabulary development, grammar explained in a simple and practical way, and opportunities for students to apply what they’ve learned through speaking, reading, or short activities. Lessons are interactive, engaging, and focused on real-life communication.
My lessons are aimed at school-age learners, teenagers, and adults at beginner to intermediate levels who want to improve their English speaking, comprehension, reading, and writing skills. I am especially well-suited to students who may feel shy, anxious, or unsure about using English and who are looking for a supportive tutor to help them grow in confidence and fluency.
