About Yifeng
I am a postgraduate student currently pursuing an MSc in Health Sciences at the University of Southampton. Before moving to the UK, I completed my undergraduate degree in Rehabilitation Therapy at Tongji University in Shanghai. This background has instilled in me a high level of patience, professionalism, and a deep understanding of how to support others in their learning journeys.
I am passionate about teaching Mandarin because I believe language is the ultimate bridge for cultural exchange. Outside of my academic life, I am a high-level competitive gamer and an enthusiast of health and technology. I bring this diverse perspective and dynamic energy to my lessons, ensuring they are never boring. My goal is to be more than just a tutor; I want to be a dedicated mentor who helps you navigate the nuances of the Chinese language with confidence and ease.

As a postgraduate student in Health Sciences at the University of Southampton and a graduate of Tongji University, I offer a professional and highly personalised approach to learning Mandarin. My teaching methodology prioritises practical communication and cultural immersion over repetitive drills.
I welcome students of all ages and levels, especially those interested in daily conversational fluency or professional/medical Chinese. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, but I am flexible to your specific schedule and goals.
