About Nicole

Hi, I’m Nicole! I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Education and over 5 years of experience working with elementary and middle school students in the classroom and in hands-on learning environments.

I specialize in making math click for kids who feel stuck or overwhelmed. Whether it’s volume, fractions, or word problems, I love breaking down tricky topics using real-world examples and creative activities.

In my work at the STEM learning center, I designed interactive lessons where we used LEGO bricks, games, and hands-on experiments to explore math and science concepts.

About the lesson

I focus on making math meaningful and relatable by using real-world examples and creative ways to explore concepts — whether that’s through visual models, games, or everyday objects students can find at home.

For example:
-When learning about volume, I might use virtual manipulatives or guide students to imagine building with LEGO bricks.
-For fractions, we might explore examples like measuring ingredients or dividing objects, but always in a way that works within the session.

I tailor each lesson to your child’s learning style and resources. My goal is to help students understand math concepts clearly and build confidence, all while keeping lessons fun and stress-free.

David was kind, considerate & respectful. I could tell that he was struggling with some concepts due to how his brain processes information. I mentioned that he would have to work consistently to get the concepts down. I could also tell that he was really only interested in the free session and didn't have much intention continuing on with other lessons
