About Jay
Hi, I'm Jay — a mechanical engineer with an MBA and 15+ years of professional experience solving real technical problems for companies ranging from manufacturing firms to global software providers. Throughout my career, I've regularly translated complex, technical material into clear, understandable lessons, delivering 70+ workshops and training sessions to audiences ranging from front-line staff to executives, so I know how to break down difficult concepts for learners at every level.
I hold a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with coursework spanning Calculus I–III, Advanced Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Statistics, and Physics I, II, III, and Quantum Mechanics, giving me a deep, practical command of the subjects I teach.
I'm now channeling that same expertise and passion for clear communication into helping middle and high school students build real skill and confidence in math and physics. I care about your child's progress and will bring patience, structure, and genuine enthusiasm to every lesson.

I teach math and physics the way I learned to apply them as an engineer: by connecting formulas to real, tangible problems, not just memorizing steps. A typical lesson starts with reviewing tricky homework or concepts, moves into guided practice with real-world examples, and ends with a quick confidence-check to make sure ideas truly stick before moving on. What sets me apart is 15+ years translating complex technical material into clear, practical lessons for audiences ranging from beginners to executives — I know how to meet a student exactly where they are. My lessons are geared toward middle and high schoolers working through Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, or Physics, whether they need to catch up, stay on track, or get ahead.
