About Mahelet
Hi! I'm Mahelet, a patient, friendly, and dependable tutor who genuinely enjoys helping students build confidence in their learning. I have experience working one-on-one with students of different ages and learning styles, both as a Learning Clinician at Lindamood-Bell and as a Human Anatomy teaching assistant and tutor during undergrad. I hold a bachelor's degree in Biology and a master's degree in Biomedical Sciences, and I'm passionate about making challenging concepts easier to understand. I believe learning should be encouraging, interactive, and tailored to each student's needs. Whether your goal is improving grades, preparing for an exam, or simply feeling more confident in the classroom, I'm here to support you every step of the way.

As a former Learning Clinician at Lindamood-Bell, I worked one-on-one with students to strengthen their reading comprehension, fluency, and critical thinking using research-based instruction. My approach is patient, encouraging, and interactive. I focus on building confidence just as much as improving academic skills. Whether your child needs help catching up or staying on track, I strive to create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is for every student to leave each lesson understanding the material better and feeling more confident in their abilities.
