About Xinyi
Hi, I am Xinyi from MSc in Economics at LSE, where I also have completed my bachelor's and master's degrees in Accounting and Finance. Maths, statistics, economics, and finance are my strengths. I have obtained over 90% in my undergraduate maths and statistics courses and can prepare students for these two subjects plus economics and finance in GCSE, A Level, university, and other degree levels. I have taught over 70 hours up to now and have helped 4 first-year undergraduates with their weekly problem sets and past exams in finance. I am proud that most of them achieved firsts in their final exams. Problem solving skill is highly important to get a high mark in these quantitative subjects. Therefore, after introducing basic concepts, I will go through problems in class, step by step. If time allows, I will talk about interesting applications of these subjects (e.g. applications of maths and statistics in the financial industry). Look forward to seeing you in class! Xinyi is very good at maths and always able to come up with different ways to solve a mathematical problems, which provokes my understanding of maths.
