About Pieter
I am a 3rd-year Psychology student from Somerset West, I have been Tutoring online and in person for the last year and a half to try and make an extra income whilst also gaining experience to help figure out what I would like to do one day.
I found a sense of achievement with tutoring after seeing how well my students can perform with a bit of motivation and positivity. I enjoy figuring out what content my students are struggling with so that we can focus on it and make sure that they understand the work before carrying on. This helps, in the long run, to make sure they don't get confused with future content.

I have been tutoring for over a year now and found that the best way to move forward with my students is to go back and focus on the sections that they might have overlooked or didn't understand completely. I am very patient with my students as I know from personal experience that it helps to motivate and guide students in the right direction instead of moving forward too quickly and risking mistakes in the future with more intricate work.
I am fluent in both English and Afrikaans which gives the student the choice of which language they would like to be taught in. I can tutor students from Gr5 to Gr11 as that is the section I have the most experience with. I have mainly focused on Mathematics, English, and Afrikaans but can also tutor Science if needed.
