About Sheila Mae Evon

Hello! I am Teacher Sheila Mae from Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. I am a graduate of Bachelor of Elementary Education and a TEFL Certified English tutor with experience in both face-to-face and online one-on-one classes. I have taught kids, teens, and adults from beginner to intermediate levels, focusing on phonics, reading, grammar, and conversational English. I am a patient, friendly, and passionate teacher who loves helping students build confidence in English. Teaching is not just my job, it is my passion. I would love to help you achieve your English goals!

About the lesson

I am a BEEd graduate and TEFL certified English tutor. My teaching approach is fun, patient, and student-centered. For kids, I use phonics, games, songs, and flashcards. For teens and adults, I use real-life conversation and pronunciation practice. A typical lesson includes warm-up, vocabulary, practice, and free talk. My lessons are for beginners to intermediate learners of all ages who want to speak English confidently.

She was one of my favorite teachers in the Philippines because she was kind, polite, and always willing to help. She knew how to deal with students and made us feel comfortable. During CIA, our schedule was very tight, and I was often exhausted, so she would let me rest for a while after finishing my assignments while she checked my work. Her thoughtfulness and understanding made her truly special to me.
