About Lilia

I am a passionate guitar teacher with over twelve years of experience coaching students for live performances, recording sessions, auditions, and music school entry. I hold a Diploma of Music with a guitar specialisation, which gives me a solid foundation in both technique and theory. My teaching style is encouraging and focused, helping students build confidence while pushing their skills forward. I believe that great music comes from a balance of discipline and creative freedom. That’s why I emphasise not only technical excellence but also stage presence and personal expression. I work closely with each student to develop their unique sound and style. Whether preparing for an important audition or a live show, I help students feel ready and confident. I enjoy guiding students through the challenges of performance and recording, teaching them how to connect with their audience. My lessons are structured but flexible, tailored to meet individual goals. I’m committed to helping every student grow as a musician and performer. Together, we focus on building skills, passion, and musical excellence.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on building a strong foundation in guitar playing while making lessons enjoyable and practical. I start by helping students understand basic techniques and finger placement. Rhythm practice is a big part of my lessons, as it helps develop groove and timing. We work on tempo control to make sure you can play smoothly at any speed. I introduce different styles like blues, funk, and folk, showing how to adapt your playing to fit each genre. I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor my teaching to fit your pace and goals. Whether you want to play around the campfire or lead worship music, I support you in reaching your best. We focus on chord progressions, strumming patterns, and melody creation. Alongside technical skills, I emphasise listening skills and musical expression. Lessons include exercises for finger strength and speed, as well as improvisation techniques. I encourage regular practice and give clear feedback to help you improve quickly. My goal is to help you enjoy playing guitar while growing your confidence. Together, we will unlock your musical potential and passion for the instrument.
