About Eirik
Do you want to have fun and enjoy game development while creating really solid, iterative and dynamic systems? This means code that you can alter easily when prototyping to test different ideas quickly. This is how I like to code.
The course works for both adults and kids.
I have a deep understanding of coding, and would like to share and explore it more with someone who's interested. But I equally want to teach game design: how to create fun and delicious games that give deep and fulfilling experiences to players. Game design is the basis of what you will program so a good first step is to learn game mechanics, genres etc. Let's create systematic code that serve the developer in the long run, avoiding technical debt.
Unrelated to this, I like to skate, play volleyball, do kickboxing, watch anime and play piano.

In addition to Blueprints programming, I teach the whole animation workflow from motion capture to animation programming, cinematics with Sequencer, and a wide range of game dev things.
At my years of game dev college I always ended up programming the most difficult things because my game ideas demanded them and I had the capability to do so. I made AI state machines, 3D fighting game systems where you create your own moveset, where all the moves flow into each other, etc. to name some. My classmates where always stunned and I loved to share how I created things and teach. I discovered I was a natural at explaining things in high school when I helped people in my website programming class. I have tutored in game dev (Unreal and Unity), math to teenagers and website programming to college students part time for 1,5 years.
I'm a graduate of Game Development at Høyskolen Kristiania.
