About Karla
I was a top-performing matriculant, achieving the award for top achiever in South Africa for Physical Sciences and AP Mathematics, and being recognized as the overall top NSC achiever in Gauteng. I hold a BSc in Biochemistry and Chemistry, a BSc Honors in Biochemistry, and an MSc in Biochemistry, and I am currently continuing my studies in medicine. I am passionate about teaching and helping students overcome the challenges often associated with science subjects. My goal is to make these subjects understandable, enjoyable, and inspiring, while showing students the incredible opportunities and fascinating insights these fields offer into life as we know it.

My lessons are structured to build confidence and deep understanding. I begin by introducing and clearly explaining new concepts in a way that is easy to grasp. This is followed by guided practice and carefully selected exercises that reinforce the material and develop problem-solving skills. Students are encouraged to ask questions and actively engage with the content to ensure they can confidently apply what they have learned. Lessons are one hour long and tailored to each student’s learning pace and needs.
