About Keelan

Hello! I’m Dr. Keelan Jagaran, a PhD-qualified Biochemist and experienced educator passionate about helping students succeed in Science, Math, and Life Sciences. With several years of university teaching and mentoring experience, I understand that every student learns differently, and I tailor each lesson to meet their individual goals and pace. My approach is patient, structured, and engaging. I simplify complex concepts, use real-world examples to make learning relatable, and provide clear strategies for tackling exam questions with confidence. I take pride in creating a positive, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and motivated to improve. I teach in English, with a clear and neutral accent, and welcome learners from all backgrounds — from high school to university level. My aim is simple: to help you not just pass your subjects, but truly understand and enjoy them.

About the lesson

As a PhD-qualified educator in Biochemistry and Genetics, I bring a clear, structured, and supportive approach to teaching Science, Maths, and Life Sciences at both high school and university levels. My lessons are designed to make complex concepts easy to understand by linking theory to real-world examples, ensuring students not only memorise facts but truly grasp the principles behind them.

Each lesson begins with a quick recap of the previous topic, followed by step-by-step explanations, interactive problem-solving, and short assessments to reinforce learning. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s pace, strengths, and goals, whether they’re preparing for exams, improving grades, or building foundational understanding.

I teach in English, with clear communication and a neutral South African accent, ensuring accessibility for students from diverse backgrounds.

Students can expect lessons that are engaging, results-focused, and confidence-building. My goal is to help learners see Science and Maths not as difficult subjects, but as fascinating, logical systems they can master with the right guidance.
