About Serenella

Hi everyone! I'm Serenella, a mathematician and statistician with a deep passion for teaching and fostering a strong comprehension of mathematics and statistics logic and tricks. Since my high school years, I’ve been sharing my love for math and statistics, starting by helping friends and eventually becoming a dedicated tutor. Over the past 13 years, I’ve tutored in Mathematics, Statistics and Econometrics, and have taught these subjects at university and high school levels. So far I’ve had the privilege of teaching many students. Math, Statistics, and data analysis are my true passions, and I’m excited to help students build a solid foundation in these areas.

About the lesson

My goal is to make complex math and statistics concepts feel simple and accessible. I adapt each lesson to your individual needs, skills, and educational background, focusing on what you find challenging in school or university.

We can work together regularly—one or two hours per week—or more flexibly whenever you need extra support. If you've ever felt that math or statistics just aren't your thing or struggled to follow along in class, I'm here to help turn that around. My approach is designed to build your confidence and transform your learning experience, so math and statistics feel achievable, and maybe even enjoyable!

In my teaching approach, I don’t simply solve exercises for students. Instead, I focus on explaining the subject matter, theory, and practical shortcuts that go beyond traditional methods. Once the concepts are clear, students work through problems independently, applying what they’ve learned. I then review and discuss their solutions with them. This approach encourages active learning and critical thinking, empowering students to truly understand and apply the concepts on their own.

I offer online lessons using my iPad for interactive, real-time note-taking, or in-person sessions in Montreal. Let’s make math and statistics a journey you can succeed in—I'm excited to support you every step of the way!
