About Nurina
Hi! I’m Nurina, an Architecture undergraduate with a genuine passion for History and a strong interest in sharing my knowledge with others.
Throughout my school years, History has always been one of my strongest subjects, and I consistently achieved A+ in the subject. More than just being a subject that I performed well in, I have always genuinely enjoyed learning about historical events, the people behind them, and the stories that shaped our world.
As an Architecture student, I also find myself constantly surrounded by history, culture, heritage and the stories behind buildings and places. This has made my appreciation for History even stronger and has encouraged me to share that interest with younger students.
I decided to become a tutor because I want students to see History differently. I know that many students find History difficult because they associate it with memorizing countless facts, dates and names. However, I believe History becomes much easier when it is taught as a story. I enjoy storytelling and explaining events in a way that allows students to understand the bigger picture, make connections between events and remember important information naturally.
I hope to create a comfortable and enjoyable learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes and learn at their own pace. My goal is not only to help students achieve better results, but also to help them discover that History can actually be an interesting and enjoyable subject.

I am a passionate and enthusiastic History tutor who genuinely enjoys learning and teaching Sejarah. Throughout my school years, I consistently achieved A+ in Sejarah, and my strong interest in the subject has always encouraged me to understand the stories, events and reasons behind historical facts rather than simply memorizing them.
One of my strengths is storytelling. I believe History becomes much easier and more enjoyable when students can understand an event as a story instead of seeing it as a collection of facts and dates. I am good at explaining historical events in a simple and engaging way, connecting one event to another so that students can easily follow the sequence, understand what happened and remember the important details.
My teaching approach focuses on making Sejarah simple, interesting and less stressful. I will use storytelling, relatable examples, simple explanations and easy-to-remember techniques to help students understand and retain what they learn. I can also guide students through answering techniques, particularly for structured and essay questions, by teaching them how to identify what the question is asking and organize their answers effectively.
Each lesson typically lasts around 1 hour, with the pace adjusted according to the student's level, learning style and needs. My lessons are suitable for primary and secondary school students who want to strengthen their understanding, improve their results or simply develop a greater interest in Sejarah.
My goal is not just to help students memorize History, but to help them understand the story behind it; because once they understand the story, the facts become much easier to remember.
