About Athina
Hello! I am Athina and I am in year 12 studying A level maths, biology, chemistry and physics. I have been tutoring since doing my Bronze DofE in year 9 where I was teaching my younger cousin maths for my volunteering work. Since then, I have continued helping the people around me with any concepts they find difficult to understand. Personally, I quite enjoy teaching others as it gives me a sense of accomplishment in helping others to understand new ideas. I want to inspire students, grow their confidence in learning and assist in reaching their goals.

My lessons aim towards students in years 7-11 at GCSE level. In the 2024 GCSEs, achieved grade 7 in physics and chemistry whilst for biology and maths I achieved a grade 6. Currently, I am in year 12 studying A level maths, physics, chemistry and biology. Lessons are typically an hour but can be flexible to meet the student’s needs. My teaching approach focuses on teaching them the core content using analogies and summaries in order to break down the content making it easier to understand and also going through practice questions to help them apply the knowledge effectively.
