About Maysn

I am a friendly, reliable and passionate tutor with over three years of experience working with both primary and high school students. I have worked as a self-employed tutor and through Art of Smart, providing personalized lessons based on each student's individual needs and learning style.

I completed high school in 2021, have completed a diploma and am currently studying a Bachelor's degree. I have a strong interest in science, law and humanities and, I enjoy helping students understand subjects in a way that feels clear and manageable.

I take pride in creating a comfortable, supportive and judgment-free learning environment where students can ask questions, work at their own pace and build confidence. I am patient and adaptable, and I understand that every student learns differently.

Whether you need help catching up, preparing for an assessment, improving your skills or simply becoming more confident in a subject, I am happy to work with you towards your goals.

About the lesson

I believe tutoring works best when lessons are personalised to each student. I take the time to understand what a student is struggling with, how they learn best and what they would like to achieve. I then adjust my teaching style and activities to suit them.

I like to break difficult topics into smaller, easier-to-understand steps and use examples, practice questions, discussion and guided activities to help students understand the content rather than simply memorising it. I also encourage students to ask questions and work through problems themselves so they can build confidence and become more independent learners.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although I can adjust the lesson length depending on the student's age, needs and goals.

I have over three years of tutoring experience, working with both primary and high school students from 2021 to 2024, including through Art of Smart and as a self-employed tutor. I completed high school in 2021, have completed a diploma and am currently studying a Bachelor's degree.

My lessons are suitable for Prep–Year 12 students, both online and in person in Melbourne.
