About Gladys
I am a friendly and supportive English, reading and literacy tutor with a background in finance, community support and social work studies. I am passionate about helping people build confidence in themselves and their abilities, especially students who may struggle with anxiety, low confidence or neurodivergence such as ADHD, autism or dyslexia. I believe learning should feel encouraging, patient and adapted to the individual rather than stressful or overwhelming. My goal is to create a calm and positive environment where students feel safe to learn, grow and progress at their own pace.

I offer supportive and personalised English, reading and literacy lessons for children, young people and adults, including neurodivergent learners such as those with ADHD, autism and dyslexia. My lessons are designed to build confidence, improve communication skills and make learning feel safe, comfortable and encouraging. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s individual needs and learning style, whether they need support with reading fluency, spelling, comprehension, writing or overall confidence in English. Lessons are patient, engaging and flexible, with a calm approach that helps reduce pressure and anxiety around learning. Sessions typically last 1 hour and focus on helping students grow in confidence at their own pace.
