About Lydia
As a dedicated dance educator, I am passionate about helping students build strong technique, confidence, and a genuine love for movement. With experience teaching ballet, contemporary, pointe, and a variety of other dance styles, I work with students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced dancers preparing for performances, auditions, or competitions.
I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to meet their individual goals, strengths, and learning style. My teaching emphasizes proper technique, artistry, musicality, and safe dance practices while creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and celebrating their progress.
Whether you're taking your first ballet class, refining pointe technique, improving contemporary performance quality, or preparing for an upcoming audition, I am committed to helping you reach your goals with patience, professionalism, and personalized instruction. My goal is for every student to leave each lesson feeling more confident, capable, and inspired than when they arrived.

My teaching approach centers on creating a positive, encouraging environment where students feel challenged, supported, and motivated to grow. I believe every dancer learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to the individual's goals, experience level, and learning style while emphasizing strong technique, artistry, and confidence.
A typical lesson begins with a proper warm-up and conditioning exercises, followed by technical work specific to the student's discipline. Ballet lessons focus on alignment, musicality, strength, and precision through barre and center work, while contemporary lessons explore movement quality, expression, improvisation, and choreography. Pointe lessons prioritize proper placement, foot and ankle strength, and safe progression based on each dancer's readiness. Each lesson concludes with personalized feedback and exercises or goals to reinforce progress between sessions.
What sets me apart is my ability to combine technical excellence with patience and encouragement. Drawing from my experience teaching ballet, contemporary, pointe, and other dance styles, I adapt my instruction to meet each student's unique needs while helping them build confidence and develop healthy, sustainable technique. Whether a student is preparing for an audition, competition, recital, or simply dancing for personal growth, I strive to make every lesson engaging, productive, and enjoyable.
My lessons are designed for students of all ages and experience levels—from young beginners discovering dance for the first time to intermediate and advanced dancers looking to refine their technique, prepare for performances or auditions, or receive individualized coaching. I welcome recreational dancers as well as those pursuing pre-professional or collegiate dance training.
