About Tessa
I’ve spent 8 years teaching chemistry to students of various levels, helping them move from confusion to clarity. My approach emphasizes patience, clear explanation, and connecting chemistry concepts to real-life examples — from cooking reactions to environmental chemistry. I always aim to make lessons engaging through visuals, fun challenges, and guided practice. I encourage students to think like chemists — to observe, hypothesize, and understand why reactions occur rather than just memorizing facts. Outside class, I enjoy reading about sustainable chemistry and new scientific innovations. My ultimate goal as a tutor is to help students see that chemistry isn’t just about formulas — it’s about understanding the materials, reactions, and forces that shape our world.

My chemistry lessons focus on making the subject clear, logical, and enjoyable. I break down challenging topics — from atomic structure and bonding to chemical reactions and stoichiometry — into easy-to-understand steps that build a strong foundation.
Each session balances theory with practice. Students learn through concept explanations, worked examples, and guided exercises that strengthen understanding. I use simple analogies, color-coded notes, and visual aids to help learners grasp invisible processes like molecular interactions and reaction mechanisms.
For test preparation, I focus on problem-solving, question analysis, and exam techniques. My lessons build both confidence and precision so that students can approach any chemistry question with a solid, structured method.
