About Bridgette

Hello, my name is Bridgette, and I am 27 years old. I have tutored in math for six years, first in Arizona while obtaining my bachelor's degree and then in California after I graduated from university. I received my bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Northern Arizona University (Go Lumberjacks!). As part of my coursework, I took education classes and was a student teacher for a semester. I am currently working on my associate's degree in Mathematics as preparation for graduate school. I currently tutor Elementary Math up to Algebra II, Integrated Math 1-3, CBEST Math Test Prep, and GED Math Test Prep.

About the lesson

My teaching method is to meet students where they are. I focus on student understanding rather than drilling them on practice problems. I ask students questions that guide them thru the concepts rather than lecturing them. This method has worked well for me, as many of my student's grades and confidence have improved.
