About Andrea
I am professional in my approach to teaching students and have a very calm demeanor. I live by a quote by Elbert Hubbard: "There is no failure except in no longer trying." So don't ever give up!
I have 4 years of tutoring experience in different mathematics and statistics domains and at various levels - from primary school up to and including university students.
I obtained an average of 95% in mathematics over a 3-year period in my senior years of high school. Had an average of 99% in Advanced Mathematics at school as well as an average of 90% and 96% in Statistics during my first and second year of university respectively. I have a passion for Mathematics and Statistics and would enjoy sharing my knowledge and assist you in achieving your goals.

My lessons are structured to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenges at their own pace. At the beginning of each lesson, I assess the student's current understanding of the topic and identify any areas of difficulty. I explain concepts step-by-step, breaking down complex ideas into manageable parts and using practical examples to reinforce understanding.
Throughout the lesson, I encourage active participation and problem-solving, guiding students to develop their own reasoning skills rather than simply memorising methods. I continually motivate students to persevere through difficult problems. Once a concept has been covered, we work through progressively challenging questions together to build confidence and mastery.
At the end of each lesson, I review the key concepts covered, address any remaining questions, and provide targeted practice to consolidate learning.
