About Kristen
My name is Kristen, and I am a student at the University of Cape Town, studying Spanish, Film & Media, and isiXhosa. I have always enjoyed working with children and believe that reading is one of the most important foundations for learning. I am interested in tutoring because I want to help children gain confidence, enjoy books, and develop strong reading skills that will benefit them in school and beyond. Tutoring allows me to share my love for language and learning while making a positive difference in each child’s educational journey.

Hi parents! I’m a UCT student studying Spanish, Film & Media, and isiXhosa, offering English reading support for children (ages 6–11). My lessons are patient, fun, and tailored to each child’s pace. I focus on phonics, sight words, fluency, and comprehension, while also building confidence and helping kids enjoy reading. Lessons include games, guided reading, discussion, and a positive wrap-up so your child always leaves feeling proud of their progress.
