About Alyssia
Hi! I’m a paraprofessional working toward a degree in education, and I’ve spent several years helping students learn and succeed in the classroom. I’ve stepped in as a classroom teacher and taught 3rd and 4th grade reading, writing, and social studies, as well as 5th grade math, science, and health. I’ve also worked as a phonics specialist in kindergarten, helping younger students build strong reading skills. I love making learning clear, supportive, and confidence-boosting so students feel proud of what they can do.

My lessons are structured, fun, and encouraging. Elementary students start with a quick phonics or spelling warm-up, while middle school students kick things off with grammar games or creative writing prompts.
We work on reading comprehension, writing (sentences to essays), grammar, vocabulary, and homework help, all in a way that’s clear and manageable. I also help students stay organized and confident with their schoolwork.
The goal is simple: build skills, boost confidence, and make English feel less stressful—and more enjoyable.
