About Brian
Learning to draw and mastering drawing is incredibly rewarding and a life-long experience. There is no right or wrong way, yet there are some fundamentals that anyone can master in order to enjoy drawing even more.
I am an experienced filmmaker and oil painter, with a strong background in figurative art and drawing.
I am presently a Teaching Assistant in the Fine Arts Department at a local university, where I co-instruct Drawing, Painting, and Sculpture.

Anyone can learn to draw! All that's required is some patience and trusting one's own hand and eye.
For beginning students, we will begin be copying a drawing or two, and learning to take apart visual space.
Beyond that, we will carefully draw objects and space, and practice using line, shape, light & shadow to define a drawing.
